This week has been just delightful. I'm not sure if it's because I'm all rested from my visit to the Bahamas or what, but I have enjoyed every moment at work this week. The kids have been especially cute and fun to be around. I love catching them repeat things I say like "the mean words you said hurt my heart" or " yeah you were responsible and you brought your homework back!" We had a long serious discussion about how our words and actions effect others hearts and minds and I've seen such a big change in some of them it make me so happy. I'm kind of babbling but I am just loving my job right now. After you read this would you mind knocking on something wooden for me. :-)
I have recess duty this week and I've had so much fun out in the field with the kids not really doing my duty. It's ladybug season and we have been finding those cute little bugs all over the place! Nearly my whole class is out in the grass hunting around for those round red treasures. Its hard to describe the feeling I have when I'm out there with them. It's kind of a carefree, simple kid feeling that well....just made me smile. And seeing their kindness and generosity has warmed my heart too. Sharing the bugs with kids who aren't able to find any. I'm seeing them play and giggle with kids they don't usually care for and showing friendship and kindness towards the special needs students who share our recess. All through the simple adventure of catching ladybugs. So I recommend that you get out there and enjoy this amazing spring weather and find yourself a ladybug. It will make you smile. I'm sure of it.
